Pre-emergent treatments are designed to prevent weeds from establishing in your lawn by inhibiting root growth and development. In order to achieve results, effective pre-emergent control relies on proper timing of the application. Post-emergent treatments are effective in controlling weeds in your lawn after they have emerged from the soil.

Weeds are bad for your yard because they steal water and nutrients from nearby plants and grasses. Therefore, flowers, plants and grasses will not grow as well as they should when weeds begin to take over the yard.
